Mr. Garcia is a recognized leader on a host of key issues, both on a national level as well as in the South Florida community. Nationally, Mr. Garcia is the key voice on U.S. immigration policy. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives, on the House Judiciary Committee, on the House Subcommittee on Immigration and was the lead sponsor of the only bi-partisan comprehensive bill in the U.S. House (H.R. 15). Mr. Garcia’s years of leadership in the local, state and federal governments, as well as impactful private sector experience, led to a Presidential appointment in the U.S. Energy Department, years of service as Chairman of the Florida Public Service Commission and several federal and state board positions.
